We went to NYC in december last year for 19 days and it was wonderful. I wanted to visit NYC during the christmas season and it was a good trip. The Xmas decorations were wonderful, it was cold and we had great fun ice-skating at Bryant Park. To be honest, I thought New Yorkers will be rude and unfriendly but other than 1 incident at Grand Central Terminal where I got royally pissed off, everyone was helpful and kind. Perhaps it was the holiday season and all felt cheery. But when we travel to other countries, we are often met with kindness, just like our holiday in Geneva.
Have you seen this video? This is great – now that I have watched this video, we must have angered some New Yorkers by not knowing how to swipe the metrocard, not walking up or down the escalators … and yes, we definitely fed some pigeons at Madison Square Park.
