Week 11 : Mini Links: 3 Recipes this week!

I love looking at great food recipes, especially if they look like I can manage them. A lot of recipes have pictures that are gorgeous but when you scroll down to the ingredients, they need like 20 items. And the instructions to make them are very complicated.

To someone like me, that is just daunting and I do not like to set myself up for failure. And I think of the cost of the ingredients added together and I cringe. I am a visual person so I will usually try to imagine the steps to making that dish and if my thought process gets lost, I know that dish will not turn out anything like the picture says it will.

From last week’s mini recipes link, we tried the strawberry sour cream scones with brown sugar crumble! And it worked. My sister who doesn’t even like strawberries actually said it tasted good! Post on that coming up this week!

We are going to try it with cheese instead of strawberries next time round. Maybe cheese with bacon crumble.. so that it can be a savory scone instead of a sweet one. Sounds good!

This week, these 3 recipes caught my eye. Simple, good food that is manageable for most of us to cook.
